Aadi Shiv Paigam Sanatana Dharma Charitable Trust ("the Trust," "we," "us") operates this website to share information about our temple, our seva activities, and the Prāṇa-Pratiṣṭhā ceremony, and to let visitors reach us or offer a donation pledge. This page explains, in plain language, what information this website collects when you use it, why, and what we do with it.

The Trust is registered in Sadabad, Uttar Pradesh, India. Our formal registration number, PAN and 80G/12A tax-exemption status are pending and will be added to our About page once issued — this policy will be updated to reference them at that time.

1. What information we collect

We do not require you to create an account, and we do not track you across the internet. The only information we collect is what you choose to give us:

We do not otherwise collect payment details, government ID numbers, or any sensitive personal data through this website. The Donate page currently accepts pledges and enquiries only — an online payment gateway has not yet been added, so we never receive card or bank-login details through this site.

Like any website host, our hosting provider (Vercel) automatically records basic technical logs for every visit — such as IP address, browser type, and page requested — for security and reliability purposes. We do not access these logs to identify individuals in the ordinary course of running the site.

2. Cookies and local storage

This website does not set any cookies of its own. Your choice of Hindi or English is remembered using your browser's local storage, a small piece of data saved only on your own device — it is never sent to us or to anyone else, and you can clear it any time by clearing your browser data.

This site loads typefaces (fonts) directly from Google Fonts. Loading a font this way means your browser makes a request to Google's servers, which will see your IP address as part of that request, under Google's own privacy policy. We do not otherwise use Google Analytics, advertising pixels, or any social-media tracking scripts on this site.

3. Why we use your information, and who sees it

We use the information from our forms for exactly one purpose: to read your message or pledge and respond to you. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not sell, rent, or trade it to anyone.

Our Contact and Donate forms are delivered to us through Formspree, a third-party form-processing service that forwards submissions to our email inbox. Formspree is the only outside service that handles the information you submit through this site. We may also share information if required by law, or with your explicit consent (for example, if you ask us to add your name to a donor acknowledgement).

4. How long we keep it

We keep messages and pledge details for as long as reasonably needed to respond to you and maintain our own donor and correspondence records, after which we delete them. If you would like us to delete information you've previously sent us sooner, contact us and we will do so unless we have a legitimate reason (such as an already-completed donation record) to keep it.

5. Your rights and how to reach us

As an Indian entity, we aim to honour the principles of India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and the reasonable security practices required under Section 43A of the Information Technology Act, 2000. Regardless of where you are visiting from, you can write to us at any time to:

— ask what information we hold about you
— ask us to correct information that is wrong
— ask us to delete information you previously submitted
— withdraw any consent you've given us (for example, to be publicly acknowledged as a donor)

6. Security

This site is served over HTTPS, and our contact/donate forms include spam-prevention safeguards. We take reasonable technical precautions to protect information submitted to us, but no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Children's privacy

This website is a general information and donation site for our temple trust and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through our forms. If a parent or guardian believes a child has submitted information to us, please contact us and we will remove it.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time — for example, once our registration and 80G/12A status are confirmed, or if we add new features such as an online payment gateway. We will update the "Last updated" date above when we do. Continuing to use this site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
